As for game mechanics, I think this is mostly detailed in the rules, but it's basically a case of anything like a journal post, notice, &c. goes in xi_online (you can take a look at it for examples) and anything that actually happens in meatspace (or the psychic plane, I guess, considering this game) goes in xi_rpg.
