UM. SO. I am actually going to go place a reserve for a DIFFERENT character as soon as I finish this question, but the answer of this question answers if I'm apping another character from a completely different series, so.
Yes.
HI I'M A FAN OF THE AUTHORITY and I was wondering, since the characters I'm currently considering from that series are all escaped laboratory experiments, essentially, how they would be received. A-also, how lenient you guys would be with the whole HARDER/BETTER/FASTER/STRONGER thing since one of the characters I'm considering, Apollo, is essentially a human version of Superman, and another, Midnighter, is like Batman except with superspeed because he's got a computer in his head.
...I'm pretty sure that all made no sense. Uh. Okay, break down of questions:
1) Jack Hawksmoor. Was experimented on by aliens from the age of 15 to 22 or so. Does not age normally. Talks to/symbiotes with urban structures (cities, towns, anywhere where people live for a long time). I will assume the manipulation of his genome constitutes mutation; am I safe in this assumption? Would an aged-down version of him work in this AU?
2) Midnighter. Went through some pretty extensive modifications that make him capable of reading opponents to the point of being able to predict the outcome of almost every fight in his favor. Computer in his brain. Is he acceptable at all?
3) Apollo. Went through some pretty extensive modifications that allow him to absorb sunlight as energy, ie Superman and such. It's never classified whether these modifications are genetic (and therefor mutations) or technological. There are youth versions of him and Midnighter; would either of them be acceptable?
TL;DR, I LIKE SHOVING DC INTO MARVEL TO FUCK WITH PEOPLE.
OH GOD THIS IS SO LONG AND, UH, I'M PRETTY SURE IT'S ASSININE.
Yes.
